How to Make a Day After Thanksgiving Turkey Sandwich

11/29/2013

The best part of thanksgiving is the leftovers. This will tell you how to make a no-fail, delicious turkey sandwich.

Edit Ingredients

  • 2 pieces of bread for each sandwich

  • Mayonnaise (enough to spread)

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Cranberry sauce

  • Stuffing

  • Leftover turkey (or, if you are making this when you don't have left over turkey, get turkey breast from the deli... it won't be as good, but it will work)

Edit Steps

  1. Get two pieces of bread. Wholewheat works well, as does sourdough, but any kind is just fine.

  2. Spread mayonnaise on each slice of bread.

  3. Top the mayonnaise with salt and pepper. Fresh ground tastes best, but again, it doesn't matter.

  4. Take one piece of bread and put on thin slices of jellied cranberry sauce, or spoonfuls of whole berry sauce.

  5. Put slices of turkey on top of the cranberry sauce.

  6. On the second piece of bread, put a layer of stuffing.

  7. Assemble the pieces of bread into a sandwich. Cut in half.

Edit Tips

  • Use whatever leftovers you have. Jellied cranberry or whole berry; white or wheat bread, white or dark meat.

  • Some people also like to add on leftover vegetables, like peas and onions, or corn kernels. This is up to you.

  • If you want to make this sandwich, and don't have left overs, make quick stove top stuffing, get a can of cranberry sauce, and deli meat turkey. It will fulfill that comfort food craving.

Edit Warnings

  • Be careful to make sure there aren't any bones in the turkey.
