- Clean a mason jar.
- Get a a set of LED Christmas lights. LED lights are safe to use because they don't heat up too much.
- Put some fake grass or moss in the jar.
- Place the Christmas lights into the jar.
- Stuff more fake grass into the Mason jar.
- Get a stick and arrange the lights in place.
- Make a holder out of a old bed spring. Simply cut the bottom part.
- Paint it if you like.
- Apply the lid, leaving the plug outside. Wrap the handle around the neck of the jar.
- Hang your firefly lantern outside your house. Make sure you place it away from any moisture.
- Plug the light in and marvel on your fireflies!
