4/04/2014

The Powerpuff Girls! Three little girls made of sugar, spice and everything nice, fighting evil! Have you ever wondered how to draw all 3 of them? Bubbles, Buttercup, and Blossom all have similar looks that you can recreate yourself. If only it were 2004 again.

EditSteps

  1. If you're drawing all three together, you're going to want to draw 3 circles. Make sure they are a good length apart so you have room later to add the hair. The circles do not have to be perfect, because right now you're just drafting.

  2. Under the head, make a line going straight down. Don't press too hard or it will look messy when you erase later. You're doing this as a base to the body later.

  3. Draw lines where you want the arms to go. Same as the body, do not press too hard.

  4. Draw small little ovals at the end of the arm lines and leg lines. The Powerpuff Girls do not have defined fingers or toes.

  5. Draw two lines across the head. These will help you line up the eyes. Make sure the lines are a little ways from the top and the bottom of the way.

  6. Fill in. Around the arm, leg,and body lines you've created, fill them in.

    • Legs. These should look like long ovals that go up to the base of the line of the body.

    • Arms. Same as the legs but should go to where the shoulders should be on the body line.

    • Body. This is basically a rectangle going around the body line. The body line should be in the middle of the rectangle.

  7. Erase. Erase a good portion of the end of the arm and leg ovals, this will make it look more exact.

  8. Each Powerpuff girl has a different hairstyle. The only way you can tell The Powerpuff girls apart is by their attitude, hairstyle , and color. But hairstyles are the biggest key.

    • Blossom's. Blossom should be in the center because she is thought of as the leader. Blossom's hair has choppy bangs that go onto a small part of her head. They are generally split into four parts. On the top of her head is a uniquely drawn bow. On either side should be what looks like rounded triangles. In the center there should be a small rectangle connecting the two. The rest of her hair is easy. It is a small swoop from the bottom of her head to her ankles.

    • Bubble's Hair. Bubble is usually on the left side of Blossom. Bubble's hair is very simple. Her bangs start in the center and lead down to the end of her head on each side. Then she has small pigtails on each side of her head, they are in the shape of leaves.

    • Buttercup's Hair. Buttercup is obviously to the right. Draw a line about one fourth the way down her head, this will help create her bangs. In the middle of the line draw a small triangle. Then erase the line you first drew for her bangs. On the side of her head draw two chunks of hair the swooped upward.

  9. Face. For the face you will only need to do two things, the eyes and the mouth. The Powerpuff Girls do not have noses.

  10. Mouth. The mouth looks like a lower case "u" at the bottom of their faces.

  11. Eyes. The eyes are very large and circular. They should fill up most of the face, leaving only a small portion of skin in between them.

    • Pupils. The pupils should take up about 3/4 of the eye. Color it in. Now erase the center of the eye, never color this inner part of the pupil. This is how The Powerpuff Girl's eyes' look.

    • Outside of pupils. Around the pupil draw another circle around them. This other circle should only have very little space between the outside of the eye.

    • Do this for all three girls.

  12. Dress. In the middle of their dress draw 3 lines. These lines should be at lease 1/3 each. Darken in the center line.

  13. Shoes. Draw a line at wear the ankle should be and color downward. In the center of the shoe there should be a small rectangle, make sure the top of the shoe is just a thick line.

  14. Sharpie. If you have a steady hand outline everything of the finished product with black Sharpie.

  15. Erase. When the Sharpie has dried erase all the messy pencil lines. If you don't wait till the Sharpie has dried you risk smearing the picture.

  16. Color. Each Powerpuff Girl has a different color. It doesn't matter if you use crayons, colored pencils, etc.

    • Blossom. Color Blossom's eyes and dress a light pink. Then color her hair orange and her bow red.

    • Bubbles. Color Bubble's eyes and dress sky blue. Her hair should be a golden yellow.

    • Buttercup. Buttercup's eyes and dress are green. Her hair is black, now, you can either color her hair in sharpie, or crayon, colored pencil, etc. Either one looks nice.

  17. Skin. Their skin should be a pale peach color.

  18. Background. Now just add a background! It can be a solid color, or a design, or simply white!
