Finding the best way to present a gift can be difficult, especially if the gift is small or an awkward shape. Cellophane gift bags are a simple but effective way of wrapping a gift, and can be made both quickly and cheaply. These bags are especially good for homemade, edible gifts such as chocolates or cookies.
Edit Steps
- Cut your cellophane to the height you want it. Leave some extra height to allow for the bottom of the bag.
- Wrap the cellophane around the box and tape it together on the longest side. You can start a few inches away from the top of the bag, but make sure you tape all the way down to the bottom.
- Fold down the cellophane on the widest edges of the bottom of the box, folding the shortest edges into triangles. Make sure the cellophane completely covers the bottom of the box and tape it together.
- Tape down the triangles.
- Remove the box from the cellophane bag.
- Put the gift in the bag and tie ribbon around the top.
- Curl the ribbon with scissors.
Edit Tips
- If you want a solid base for the bag, cut out a piece of cardboard the same shape as the bottom of the bag and stick it inside with double sided tape.
